Learning the oboe is an individual process. Every student brings different skills and experiences to their oboe playing. It is my role as a teacher to teach proper and fundamental oboe technique in a way that the individual student can understand and replicate using their own experiences and interests. Studying a musical instrument does not only develop an appreciation of music and cultivation of musical skill. It also teaches proper work ethic, critical thinking skills, and encourages creative expression. It is my goal that students will find the process of learning the oboe fun and rewarding.
